Kate Gosselin: I'm in the Best Shape of My Life

She flaunted her body after (eight!) babies on the last season of Dancing with the Stars. But it turns out Kate Gosselin was just getting warmed up. 

At 35, the reality TV mom says she is now "the most fit I've ever been." How? She credits near-daily runs outside her Wernersville, Penn., home – and she's not afraid to show off the results. 

"I've worked really hard!" she tells PEOPLE in this week's cover story. "Haven't I earned the right, at this point, to look good?"


While the single mom shoots down incessant tabloid reports linking her to her bodyguard – "It's just absurd," Gosselin says – she does hope her new body will turn some heads. "I'm waiting for Mr. Right. It would be nice if somebody noticed me, sure!"

Reality TV star, author and single mother Kate Gosselin has moved past the pain of her public divorce last year from Jon Gosselin. She and the two sets of multiples that made her famous -- the twins and sextuplets -- have begun a new season with the renamed show "Kate Plus Eight" on TLC. The Pennsylvania native has wasted no time looking for opportunities to continue to work in the public eye to support her family. Last season she appeared on "Dancing With the Stars," and she has been a co-host on "The View." She has written three books with a fourth due out next year.

Is life much different for you and the children when the cameras aren't rolling?

Nope, just less bodies. Because I don't have time to do anything different, contrary to the very popular belief of the world that things are different.

It was obvious when the camera crew came back that the children were thrilled. Do you worry about their attachment to being filmed.

No, they are attached to the people behind the equipment, not the equipment. We'll always stay in touch with them, so that is not a worry at all.

Kate Gosselin Shows Off Sexy Bikini Bod In Mexico

Kate Gosselin has joined the ranks of Hollywood women who seem to only get better with age. The reality television mom stepped out in a teeny bikini while relaxing during a recent work trip in Mexico.

Kate, looking tanned and toned, showed off her ripped abs and runner’s legs as she hung out by the pool. She was seen deeply engrossed in the book she was reading: Goodbye Nobody by Jennifer Weiner. The main character in the novel is named Kate!


Over the weekend, Kate and her bodyguard Steve Neild were seen seen walking around the grounds of a hotel in Cabo San Lucas. Steve and Kate looked at ease with one another on their walks around the grounds. On one day, they were even wearing tops that were the same shade of blue.


Last year, Kate spent Thanksgiving with Neild and his wife Gina at her home. She called them “my best friends” and credited their support with helping her get through her divorce from Jon.

She’s no stranger to media duties, and earlier today (September 10) Kate Gosselin was spotted dropping by the “Live with Regis and Kelly” studios in New York City.


The former “Jon and Kate Plus 8” babe looked lovely in a shimmery dark red blouse with a black jacket and black skirt.

And during her interview on the show, Kate revealed that her kids aren’t too keen on going and staying with their father Jon.


Ms. Gosselin explained, “I basically wait for the phone call saying how many of them want to come home.”

Besides being a great episode for her TLC series, Kate Plus 8, building a chicken coop in their back yard has actually been practical for the Gosselin clan, with Kate using the fresh-from-the-coop eggs in recipes almost daily.

Back on the homefront after her fun-filled Emmy weekend, Kate Gosselin was spotted making her rounds in Reading, Pennsylvania on Wednesday (September 1).


The TLC reality star mom meandered about town as paparazzi caught up with her while gassing up in a cute summery outfit at a local petrol station.

The sighting comes as Miss Gosselin tries to find a way to regain her once high-powered viewer drawing abilities.


According to reports, Kate and the kids' trip to New York drew just 1.6 million viewers, which is down from 2.2 million viewers for their episode which aired in July.
